Founded in 2000, Gestion Forestière Abitibi Inc. is present in the forest domain for several years, particularly in the forest harvesting and transformation sectors. Since 2005, the main activities of Gestion Forestière Abitibi Inc. consist in secondary and tertiary transformation. At the beginning, GFA concentrated its activities in the cleats manufacturing and particle boards edging.

In spring 2007, Gestion Forestière Abitibi Inc. obtained its CWPCP certification for overseas wood products exportation; few companies in Quebec have this certification. (IPPC Wood)

Gestion Forestière Abitibi Inc. provides transport services of its products to all its clients, which are delivered rapidly by the means of its fleet of trucks registered for Quebec and Ontario. Gestion Forestière Abitibi Inc. also offers transport services for wood and for any types of machinery using low bed trailers.
